New Week, Clean Start
Posted 8 November 2011 by AndreaEven though the clean start came after the beginning of the week it still counts. I got the hard copy confirmation yesterday that the company that performed my background check has cleared up the discrepancies and removed the other person from my record. I am now me again, boring, predictable, non-criminal me. When it comes to income, I like that to be what the paycheck signers think. It’s a little like trying to get insurance and hoping they never find out you have a membership with a sky-diving club… I think. Oh well, working to hard for an example again.
Anyway, now that my record is once again unblemished, I will start my temp position with ThinkGeek this friday and then immediately head into a closing shift with Bath & Body Works. After that, if the going away happy hour is still in swing, I’ll stop by and squench some friends before they depart for Germany. We’ll have to see, the two people departing have an all day wedding on Saturday so they may not be up for waiting around until 11 when I can get there for 5 minutes before they pass out from exhaustion.
Meanwhile, I am in a journalism class with DeVry right now, this week’s assignment is to writ emy own obituary. I gotta tell you, of all the stuff I’ve ever written, this willbe the most awkward/uncomfortable. I often worry about what kind of “legacy” I will leave behind and how I will be remembered but I’ve never had the desire to writ
