Work, working, working out, working up, working for, working towards…Posted 14 October 2011 by Andrea
I have now gotten my start/orientation date for ThinkGeek: Nov 11th. I has a sad, but only a little one. I was hoping to start sooner but it’s cool. I’m picking up more hours at Bath & Body Works in the meantime and hitting the Y. I actually made 2 separate trips to the Y yesterday. I felt the need to do some machine cardio and work on a few problem areas in the morning but really wanted to do the zumba class last night. I really must remember to wear 2 sports bras and my knee braces next time. Last night was particularly tough on my knees as the instructor is particularly heavy on jump moves and twists. Having walked through a damp street during the break in the storm left the soles of my shoes with just enough moisture to stick to the floor. This is definitely a case where extra traction is a very bad thing. I’m kind of surprised that no one fell over.
School is going fairly well. I’ve survived a class I never would have chosen for myself and have made it to week 7. I have just a few final assignments and will finally be rid of it and the spamtastic communications that go with it. I can’t wait to move onto my next class, Journalism and actually am looking forward to the class after that as well: Social Psychology. I have not changed my major from Computer Forensics but I have these few requisites to complete and needed the break from the programming.
Beyond the boringness that is my day to day life, I have no further excitement. The holding pattern continues. Maybe I’ll immerse myself in my iPod later and come up with another music related rant for you all. I still wish I hadn’t killed some of those other music-related posts I had before I destroyed this site… Maybe I’ll just re-write them.
